A 14-year-old girl was flown to Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis for treatment of critical injuries after an ATV crash south of Grove City Friday evening.

The Meeker County Sheriff’s Office says Sabrina Miller of Glendale, Arizona, and 9-year-old Tyler Schindewolf of Cosmos, were injured when their ATV overturned on a driveway in the 54000 block of Highway 23 in Acton Township.

Authorities say Schindewolf used a phone to call the Sheriff’s Office and report that he and Miller were trapped under the ATV. He said Miller was not breathing.

Meeker County deputies responding to the scene were able to get the ATV off the two children. First aid was administered to both.

Miller was airlifted to HCMC with critical injuries. Schindewolf was transported by private party to HCMC.

According to the sheriff’s office, the initial investigation indicates that the crash was likely the result of the driver turning too sharp, causing the ATV to flip over.

Miller was identified as the driver.

The crash was reported just before 9:30pm.
