(Learfield News Service/St. Paul, MN) — A man found severely beaten near the Minnesota State Fairgrounds is hospitalized in critical condition.
St. Paul police officers found the man unconscious a few blocks from the Snelling entrance early Saturday and he was transported to Regions Hospital.
The man’s brother identified the victim as 48-year-old Mike Donnelly of Little Falls. Randy Donnelly tells the Pioneer Press Mike and two friends were walking by a party, people were yelling at them and someone came up behind his brother and hit him with a bat and stomped on Mike while he was on the ground.
