One woman. One horse. 48 states for Domestic Violence Awareness.
Meredith Cherry and her horse Apollo were in Hutchinson today (Wednesday) on their journey to bring awareness to the problem of domestic violence.
The Centauride, as Cherry calls it, is expected to last as much as 4 years and cover approximately 10,000 miles reaching 48 states.
The ride began in California in January of last year (2017) and they hope to end the ride in Maine in June of 2020.
Right now, they’re in Minnesota and are heading to Wisconsin.
Cherry has a website with a schedule and updates of the trip (click here).
She says actual distance, timing, and other information may change through the ride as factors such as road conditions, weather, detours and so on will affect the estimates.
