Former Reserve Officer Accuses Glencoe PD Personnel of Wrongdoing

(McLeod County Chronicle/Glencoe, MN) A former Glencoe Police Department reserve officer publicly accused Police Chief Jim Raiter and unnamed officers of crimes against him and his family.

The McLeod County Chronicle reports that during the public comment portion of last week’s city council meeting, Glencoe resident Thomas Hedin accused Raiter and other Glencoe Police Department officers of violating state statute regarding stalking and the “manufacturing of evidence.” He gave no details and denied a request to provide those details, saying he had been asked not to discuss them publicly. Chief Raiter also declined to comment or answer questions related to the allegations.

The Chronicle reports that as of now, no formal charges have been filed by Hedin.
