A Hutchinson woman has been cited for having too many dogs.
The city ordinance says residents can have a maximum of three dogs per household.
Fifty-seven-year-old Elvira Garcia DeLeon has 11.
In May, Hutchinson Police received a complaint that a resident living in a mobile home in Country Club Terrace was housing too many dogs.
Authorities say DeLeon became upset when she was notified that she would have to find placement for 8 of the 11 dogs.
On the 7th of this month, police found that she still had more than three dogs. On the 11th, she was cited for multiple dogs over the limit.
She was also informed that if the issue was not taken care of, the residence would be deemed nuisance property and the issue would be dealt with by the city.
