(KWLM/Willmar MN-) Willmar School District officials are assuring students, staff and parents that there is no known credible threat to Willmar High School.
Superintendent Jeff Holm says vague rumors began circulating on social media Thursday of a threat focused on the high school.
Holm says they don’t know the origin of the rumors and don’t know of any threat, and no evidence of anything happening “other than people posting on social media that they ‘heard’ something was going to happen.”
Holm says things are business as usual at the school and all activities will go on as planned.
KWLM reports some of the rumors passed on to Lakeland Broadcasting involved a possible school shooting.
