(Learfield News Service/St. Paul, MN) — Minnesota workers and businesses are beginning to feel the sting from the federal government’s partial shutdown.

Thousands of workers are facing a missed paycheck on Friday.

More than 750 workers have applied for unemployment benefits and farmers are looking at delays in federal subsidy payments and loans.

Low-income Minnesotans who rely on federal aid for food and rent could run out of benefits.
