A teenager has been charged with making threats on social media against the Hutchinson High School last week.
The 15-year-old Hutchinson boy was charged Monday with one felony count of making threats of violence.
On Friday evening, the Hutchinson Police Department received a report of a threat made via Snapchat that was directed towards the high school that said in essence, don’t come to school, I’m going to shoot it up.
Police say after identifying the source, they went to the suspect’s home and he admitted to posting the message.
At that time, he was arrested.
School officials said at no time Friday evening were individuals gathered at the high school for evening activities at any physical risk.
