(KWLM/Willmar MN-) The final person who was arrested at Chad Monson’s home south of Willmar one year ago was sentenced in Kandiyohi County District Court Wednesday.
38-year-old Christine Johnson of Litchfield was one of five people arrested January 30th 2018 when the SWAT team raided Monson’s home and discovered an arsenal of weapons, drugs and some explosives which were detonated with a resounding boom heard miles away.
Johnson was initially charged with Felon in Possession of Weapons or Ammunition, Possession of not-a-small amount of Marijuana, and Possession of Guns or Ammunition While Using Drugs. In November, all three of those charges were dismissed in exchange for her guilty plea to a separate drug offense.
Kandiyohi County Attorney Shane Baker says Johnson was sentenced by Judge Stephen Wentzell to Wednesday to 1 year and 1 day in prison, but stayed execution of that sentence and placed her on 5 years probation and gave her credit for 42 days she has already spent in jail.
She was ordered to stay drug and alcohol free, take a cognitive skills test, and Johnson will get a chance at a drug free life by going to New Beginnings treatment center in Waverly.
