By-standers pulled a rural Kimball man from a burning vehicle after he left the road and crashed in a ditch Wednesday afternoon northeast of Kingston.
The Meeker County Sheriff’s Office says they received a report of a one vehicle crash on Highway 19 and 330th Steet in Kingston Township, just after 2:30.
The caller said the vehicle was on fire and the driver was still in the vehicle.
When authorities arrived, they learned by-standers were able to get the driver out of the vehicle before the vehicle became fully engulfed in flames.
The driver, 38-year-old Nicholas Arens, was airlifted to HCMC for treatment.
The Sheriff’s Office says the initial investigation revealed Arens suffered a medical condition which caused the vehicle to leave the roadway and crash.
