A spokesman with the Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office says they’re examining the remains of a body found in a house fire northeast of Biscay to determine positive identification and the cause of death and expect to have results in the next couple of days.
According to the McLeod County Sheriff’s Office, the fire was reported just after 3am Wednesday at the residence at 12495, 165th Street.
Authorities say the house was fully engulfed when crews arrived. The house is a total loss.
Also assisting was Silver Lake Ambulance, Silver Lake Fire, Glencoe Police, MN State Fire Marshall, and Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office.
