ROCHESTER, Minn. (AP) — Authorities in southeastern Minnesota say a man found dead in a road near Rochester was shot multiple times.
The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday the man was in his 20s. Authorities have tentatively identified the man but are waiting for confirmation from the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and the Southern Minnesota Regional Medical Examiner’s office.
The Post Bulletin reports an autopsy was expected to be completed Wednesday afternoon.
A passer-by discovered the body early Tuesday.
Sheriff Kevin Torgerson says an initial investigation indicates the shooting was not random.
