A plan to develop land once owned by Prince is moving on to the full Chanhassen City Council tonight (Monday).
KSTP reports Lennar Corporation now owns the 188 acres near Lake Ann and wants to build nearly 200 single-family homes.
City council members will vote on rezoning the land and the preliminary plan for the development.
Some neighbors have environmental and density concerns about redeveloping the woods and wetlands Prince once called home.
Lennar Corporation told the city it’s changed the original plan for the property in response to neighbors’ concerns.
The company says it now has fewer homes on the site with some land set aside for a city park.
