The Highway 41 river crossing, south of Chaska, closed at 7 last night (Thursday) following the evening rush hour.

MnDot officials say that was due to the rising water levels of the Minnesota River.

Earlier plans had called for the highway to be closed this morning (Friday).

Officials say Highway 41 will remain closed until the water recedes and any damage to the road can be repaired.
