(Willmar MN-) Rice Hospital Emergency Room Doctor Sean O’Grady this week pleaded guilty to a charge of disorderly conduct after a confrontation with a neighbor and police on November 30th.
The 53-year-old Willmar physician was ordered to serve four days in the Kandiyohi County jail but was given credit for four days already served.
As part of the sentence handed down by Judge David Mennis in Kandiyohi County District Court, a 60-day jail sentence was stayed and O’Grady was placed on probation for one year.
A $290 fine was also imposed.
The judge dropped charges of Obstructing the Legal Process and 5th Degree Assault-Fear of Bodily Harm in exchange for the guilty plea.
Police say he verbally accosted his neighbor on Eagle Lake November 30th and resisted arrest by deputies who had to tase him.
Hospital officials have removed him from patient care.
