Teen Suspect in Olivia Daycare Sex Case to Undergo Psychological Evaluation

(KWLM/Olivia MN-) The Olivia teen accused of sexually molesting little girls at his mother’s daycare will undergo a pyschological exam to see if he is competent to stand trial.

The 16-year-old boy appeared in Renville County Juvenile Court Monday morning for a pre-trial hearing and County Attorney David Torgelson says he decided not to contest a defense motion for the so-called “Rule 20” evaluation.

On March 18th, the boy pleaded not guilty to two counts of 2nd Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct and was released into the custody of his mother, 45-year-old Peggy Uhlenkamp.

Peggy Uhlenkamp is accused of knowing about the molestation and not reporting it, and child neglect and her next court appearance is June 11th.

The license to her business, Rhyme and Reason Daycare, has been suspended
