(Learfield News Service/St. Paul, MN) — The latest update from the Minnesota Department of Health suggests the flu season is winding down.
Flu-related hospitalizations dropped from 140 two weeks ago to 62 last week.
There were nine flu outbreaks in Minnesota schools and none in the state’s nursing homes. The geographic spread of influenza is now listed as “local.”
So far this season, more than 23-hundred patients have been hospitalized with the flu. Seventy-three adults have died and there has been one child flu death.
