A Hector man was charged Tuesday in connection with an alleged assault in Hutchinson that happened on May 13th.
Thirty-six-year-old Samuel Gonzalez Castillo has been charged with one count of felony 1st-degree burglary and one count of misdemeanor 5th-degree assault.
Authorities say the victim, a 23-year-old Hutchinson man, was at his home in the 400 block of California Street when Castillo entered without permission and began punching him in the face to near unconsiousness. The victim suffered multiple contusions to his face.
The victim said a similar senario happened at his rural McLeod County workplace in late April.
Castillo was arrested by Hector Police and then transferred to Hutchinson Police, who took him to the McLeod County Jail.
The victim told police he believes the assault is related to Castillo owing him money and refusing to pay.
