Two Chaska women suffered life-threatening injuries following what police believe was an alcohol-involved crash at Highways 169 and 41 southwest of Shakopee in Jackson Township early Monday morning.
The State Patrol says 49-year-old Tracie Peterson and 18-year-old Hanna Peterson suffered life-threatening injuries. Tracie Peterson was taken to the Hennepin County Medical Center and Hanna Peterson was taken to St. Francis for treatment.
Tracie was the driver and Hanna was a passenger in a car that was hit by a car driven by a 25-year-old Shakopee man, who authorities say had alcohol in his system and suffered non-life threatening injuries.
He was arrested and taken to the Scott County jail, pending charges.
The crash happened just after 5am.
