Motorcyclist Hit By Stray Bullet in Carver County


(KSTP/Carver County, MN) A motorcyclist was struck by a stray bullet in Carver County Tuesday night.

KSTP reports the Carver County Sheriff’s Office said it received a call at about 6:15 p.m. regarding a motorcyclist that had been shot.

The incident occurred at Carver County Road 40 and Homestead Road.

The sheriff’s office said people at a nearby home were shooting at targets and that the motorcyclist was struck by a stray bullet.

The motorcyclist was able to slow down enough and realize he had been shot. He was then taken to Hennepin County Medical Center.

The sheriff’s office said the incident underscores the importance of knowing what is beyond a target when target shooting.
