(Brainerd, MN) — The victims of a helicopter crash in central Minnesota late last week have been identified.
Pilot Tim McDonald and nurse Deb Schott both died when the medical chopper they were in from North Memorial Health crashed at Brainerd airport at about 1:00 A-M Friday.
KWLM reports 58-year-old local nurse Deb Schott of Lester Prairie, was born in Litchfield, graduated from KMS High School, and was a graduate of Ridgewater College’s nursing program in Willmar.
The Herald Journal reports an ambulance procession escorted the body of Debra Schott of Lester Prairie to Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted Friday afternoon.
A memorial service for Debra Schott is scheduled for Wednesday afternoon at the Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted High School in Howard Lake.
A paramedic was also injured in the crash.
No patients were on board at the time.
The Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the crash.
