A Willmar man was arrested and taken into custody Monday night after a short chase with Meeker County Deputies.
At just after 9pm, the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle driving into driveways on 235thStreet in Acton Township. Deputies located the vehicle and the driver fled upon approach.
A short pursuit ensued.
The pursuit was westbound on 220th Street from 545th Avenue, and terminated when the driver came to a stop.
The 40-year-old suspect was arrested for 1st Degree DUI Test refusal, Fleeing in a Motor Vehicle, and Driving after Cancellation – Inimical to Public Safety.
