(Learfield News Service) The U-S-D-A is extending the filing deadline for crop acreage reports to July 22nd, for Minnesota ag producers affected by heavy rains and flooding.
The extension applies to reporting spring-seeded crops to Farm Service Agency county offices and federal crop insurance agents.
F-S-A state Executive Director Joe Martin says it will provide more flexibility for producers who experienced planting and field-work delays.
Filing a timely crop acreage report is important to maintain eligibility for a number of U-S-D-A programs.
