(Learfield News Service/Washington, DC) — Congressman Collin Peterson does not support the Trump administration’s proposed changes in eligibility requirements for the SNAP food stamp program.
The Minnesota Democrat claims that it ignores the bipartisan work done on the 2018 Farm Bill.
The chairman of the House Agriculture Committee said, “this rule will kick millions off SNAP, including working families and hungry kids.”
The U-S-D-A says it closes a loophole related to automatic food stamp eligibility without further income checks.
