Officials with the Minnesota Civil Air Patrol say they’re looking at Hutchinson to possibly build a new training facility.

Minnesota Civil Air Patrol Wing Commander Colonel James Garlough made a presentation to the City Council Tuesday night:

As of now, it’s all preliminary, but if the plan goes through, Commander Garlough said that while the site would primarily be used for Minnesota purposes, it would not be confined to that:

Garlough says they’re hoping build the facility on land near Butler Field and south of the fairgrounds.
