MnDOT District 8, City of Glencoe & McLeod County are releasing recommendations from the Glencoe Transportation Study at an open house today (Monday, September 23). The open house will run from 6-7:30 p.m. with a presentation at 6:15 p.m. at the Glencoe City Center.
MnDOT and its partners have committed to work with the greater Glencoe community to ensure that the community’s concerns and aspirations are directly reflected in the alternatives developed as part of the Glencoe Transportation Study and to provide feedback on how the community influenced recommendations and decisions.
The goals of the transportation study are to:
- Improve safety of intersections along Highway 212 and Highway 22
- Improve safety for pedestrians and bicyclists along Highway 212 and Highway 22
- Develop a plan that outlines appropriate access along Highway 212 and Highway 22
- Study the current route of Highway 22
Individuals not able to make the open house are encouraged to visit the website site to learn more about the transportation study and recommendations. A video with a brief presentation of findings and recommendations will be posted after the open house for those unable to attend.
