(Learfield News Service/Chaska, MN) — Three people face charges in Carver County for concealing the body of a missing Gustavus Adolphus student.
The body of 20-year-old Alexander John-Louis Sarlis from Delaware was discovered in a sleeping bag in an apartment in Hamburg.
Deputies say Sarlis likely died of a drug overdose and had been dead days before he was discovered last Monday.
Thirty-eight-year-old Joseph Cruz of Hamburg, 36-year-old Rachel Nadeau of St. Louis Park and 26-year-old Taylor Janke of New Ulm were charged Thursday.
Nadeau and Janke told police Sarlis died after snorting heroin September 15th.
Nadeau is accused of stealing 160 dollars from Sarlis and Cruz told investigators he rolled up his body in “stuff” and put him in a playpen.
The complaint Janke and Cruz tried to put the playpen in a car to dispose of the body but it wouldn’t fit.
