Another incidence of farm vandalism is being investigated near where chains were placed on corn stalks in a deliberate attempt to damage farm machinery.
The first incident was reported Monday in a field west of Hutchinson in Cedar Mills Township in Meeker County.
The McLeod County Sheriff’s Office says another incident is being investigated at a farm in the 6000 Block of 150th Street in Bergen Township, northeast of Glencoe, or about 10 miles from the chain incident.
The latest incident involves someone opening a side dump on a silo, allowing many bushels of grain to spill onto the ground.
The vandalism was discovered Tuesday morning.
