Governor’s Christmas Tree Chosen

The Christmas tree that will decorate the governor’s residence was harvested Monday.

According to the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, foresters harvested the tree in General C.C Andrews State Forest in Pine County.

The balsam fir is estimated to be 40 years old and stands 25 feet tall.

The tree is expected to be delivered to the governor’s residence today (Tuesday) and will be lit Thursday.
