Gov Orders Flags at Half-staff for Fallen Guardsman From Winsted


[ST. PAUL, MN] – In honor and remembrance of Chief Warrant Officer 2nd Class James Rogers, Jr., Governor Tim Walz has ordered all United States flags and Minnesota flags to be flown at half-staff at all state and federal buildings from sunrise until sunset on Sunday (December 15, 2019).

Warrant Officer Rogers of Winsted is one of three that died in a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter crash December 5 southwest of St. Cloud during a routine maintenance test flight.

Rogers will be remembered in a funeral service at the Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted High School in Howard Lake on Sunday.
