Honoring Fallen MN Guardsman, Charles Nord


[ST. PAUL, MN] – In honor and remembrance of Chief Warrant Officer 2nd Class Charles Nord of Perham, Governor Tim Walz has ordered all United States flags and Minnesota flags to be flown at half-staff at all state and federal buildings from sunrise until sunset today (Monday, December 16, 2019).

Chief Warrant Officer Nord was one of three Minnesota National Guard members that died in a Black Hawk helicopter crash December 5, 2019.

He will be remembered in a funeral service at Perham High School today.

Funerals for Sgt. Kort Plantenberg of Avon and Chief Warrant Officer 2nd Class James Rogers Jr. of Winsted were held Thursday and Sunday, respectively.
