(Learfield News Service/Golden Valley MN-) The Twin Cities has lost a local broadcasting legend.
Friends and family are remembering Barry ZeVan, known to many Minnesotans as the “peek-a-boo weatherman.”
ZeVan passed away yesterday (Wednesday) at the age of 82.
ZeVan worked at KSTP and KARE 11 in the 1970s and 80s and is a member of the Minnesota Broadcasting Hall of Fame.
ZeVan once famously said on the air “Where the hell is Bird Island?”
He lived in Golden Valley and was recently being treated for Luekemia.
