(Learfield News Service/Fosston, MN) — The title of coldest place in the state yesterday (Thursday) went to Fosston, Minnesota, where the wind chill plummeted to 50 below zero yesterday morning.

Many areas recorded wind chills in the 30 to 40 below range.

More bitter cold temperatures and wind chills to deal with this morning, but the temperature will rise above freezing by tomorrow.

A chance of snow is in the forecast for Monday and Tuesday.
