(Learfield News Service/St. Paul, MN) — The Minnesota Department of Health is reporting nine more flu-related deaths, bringing the season total to 67. Two of the patients were children.
The latest update shows 366 people were hospitalized with influenza complications in the week ending February 22nd.
The number of flu outbreaks in Minnesota schools dropped about 50 percent from the previous week to 35.
Long-term care facilities reported 17 outbreaks.
Flu activity remains widespread in Minnesota.
