(Learfield News Service) Minnesota voters will go to the polls today for Super Tuesday presidential primary voting.
Secretary of State Steve Simon says “it’s just like any other election, they go to their normal polling place, if they aren’t sure where that is or forgot, they can go to our website at mnvotes.org.
Polls are open from 7 am to 8pm statewide.
Early voting for the primary began in January and around 70,000 votes had already been accepted and returned as of late last week.
Simon says there is one key exception for voters, “they’re going to have to request either the Democratic party ballot for the presidential primary or the Republican party ballot that is new and that is unique, that won’t happen for any other election.”
Voters’ party preference information will be available to all four of Minnesota’s major parties, but who they voted for will remain private.
