Coronavirus Among Topics on MN Lawmakers Agenda


(Learfield News Service/St. Paul, MN) Coronavirus is again on the agenda at the State Capitol today (Thursday).

There’s another House committee hearing on a bill that still has the dollar amount open on increased funding for a special state response program. The state Health Department wants 20 million dollars. There’s five million in a bill that a Senate committee debates this afternoon.

Advocates pushing for a ban on conversion therapy gather at the Minnesota Senate Building this afternoon to make their wishes known to Republican lawmakers.

There’s Senate committee debate again this afternoon as Republicans and Democrats remain stalemated on an insulin assistance program.

And expect spirited debate as the House takes up one of majority Democrats’ main agenda items: a controversial family and medical leave proposal.
