The Hutchinson City Council called a special meeting Tuesday evening to discuss how operations are being affected by the COVID-19 outbreak.

City Administrator Matt Jaunich told the council as it stands now, city staff are fairly well prepared to handle the situation, but he says things can change rapidly and the city may have to change with it.

Hutchinson Police and Fire personnel have adjusted how they respond to calls.

Police Chief Tom Gifferson:

Near the end of the meeting, Administrator Jaunich gave a shout out to the public:

Jaunich said Tuesday’s meeting was informational only and action on any official changes would be addressed at next week’s regular meeting.
