A report of a stolen vehicle from a Green Isle resident Sunday morning ultimately led a Plato man being arrested and charged.
The Sibley County Sheriff’s Office says at just before 8am, they received the stolen vehicle report and learned that the person’s work vehicle had been stolen and that the vehicle had been unlocked and the keys were in the ignition at the time.
Authorities say the vehicle was later found abandoned in rural Meeker County and the investigation later provided information for Sibley County Deputies to apply for a search warrant at a rural McLeod County property.
Authorities executed a search warrant at that property and say missing items from the stolen vehicle were located during the search.
As a result, 34-year-old Breen Sundin of rural Plato was arrested and has been charged in Sibley County District Court with Motor Vehicle Theft.
