(KWLM/Olivia MN-) Bail has been set at $500,000 for a Hector woman accused of shooting her boyfriend to death last week.

Thirty-five-year-old Elizabeth Lynch appeared in Renville County District Court in Olivia Monday morning on charges of 2nd Degree Murder and 2nd Degree Manslaughter for the killing last Thursday of 42-year-old Anthony Tebben at the home the two shared in Hector.

Judge Dwayne Knutsen set unconditional bail at half-a-million dollars, or $200,000 with conditions.

According to the criminal complaint, Lynch claims she accidently shot Tebben in the head with a newly purchased handgun after he threw a plate at her early Thursday morning.

There were an undisclosed number of children present in the house at the time of the shooting. They were taken into protective custody.
