Officials say all McLeod County Fire Departments will be accepting homemade masks this Saturday (April 25th) from 10am-2pm as part of the Governor’s drive to support the workers on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The homemade masks that are donated will then be redistributed to local congregate living facilities for their employees and residents to wear.
This event is for dropping off (donating) homemade masks only; there will be NO masks available for pick up.
At the Hutchinson Fire Department, you’re asked to please enter through the east parking lot entrance at at 205 3rd Ave. SE to drop off the masks.
Officials say there is no standard design for a homemade face mask, but if you’re looking for recommendations or more information, click here.
