Hutchinson has extended its “State of Emergency” declaration.

The city council unanimously approved the resolution Tuesday night to keep it in place to coincide with Governor Tim Walz’s COVID-19 guidelines through mid June.

City officials say the main purpose is to keep the pathway for possible state funding open related to the coronavirus pandemic.

The council also agreed to continue having virtual city council meetings for the time being.
