HUTCHINSON, MN — Minnesota State Senator Scott Newman of Hutchinson has announced he will seek a fourth term representing District 18.
Newman received the Republican endorsement last month.
Newman says “It has been an honor to serve the people of McLeod, Meeker, Sibley, and Wright counties at the State Capitol.
Newman was first elected to the Minnesota State Senate in 2010; he was handily re-elected in 2012 and 2016.
Before he was a state senator, Newman served two terms in the Minnesota House of Representatives.
Newman currently serves as chair of the Senate Transportation Finance and Policy Committee.
