A Chicago man is dead after drowning in a Stearns County Lake Saturday.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, they responded to a report of a possible drowning on Middle Spunk Lake in Avon at 3:42 p.m. Saturday.
Authorities say 20-year-old Steven Arnaz Boose of Chicago had been in Minnesota visiting family and went swimming in the lake, went missing in the swim area, and could not be found.
Ultimately, the water patrol unit and a diver were deployed from the sheriff’s office and found Boose a short time later.
Life saving efforts were initiated and he was airlifted to the St. Cloud Hospital, however, authorities say Boose died early Sunday morning.
