The Minnesota Department of Health reported today (Thursday) there are 611 new cases that have tested positive for COVID-19, creating a total of 44,347 cases in the state.
Eight additional deaths are being reported, putting the total at 1,526.
Officials say off the entire total, 1,179 have occurred in long-term care or assisted living facilities.
As of today, 805,212 tests have been completed.
According to MDH, 4,526 total cases have required hospitalization. Of that total, 249 hospitalized, with 103 in intensive care.
