The Hutchinson School Board will be revisiting how much they get paid and whether or not to increase their salaries of $3,500 annually.
Board member Chris Wilke brought up the issue at this week’s quarterly meeting saying board members haven’t seen an increase in 15 years.
Wilke says he’d like to board to look at and consider more than just what other school districts pay:
Wilke and others said money is not why they wanted to be elected to the school board, but Wilke feels for the amount of time and effort put in by board members, they should be compensated appropriately.
