Arlington Woman Charged with Wrongfully Obtaining Public Assistance/Perjury

An Arlington woman has been charged after an investigation into fraudulent public assistance in July.

The Sibley County Sheriff’s Office and Sibley County Public Health and Human Services investigated a fraudulent public assistance case where a client fraudulently obtained approximately $38,919 in public assistance benefits.

It’s alleged that from January 2017 to present day, 57-year-old Olga Colin-Franco fraudulently received that amount in public assistance benefits.

Authorities say Colin-Franco failed to report her husband’s employment income on multiple public assistance applications filed back to 2015 and has been charged with Wrongfully Obtaining Public Assistance and Perjury, both felony offenses.
